Jay Leftin returns for his 19th season on the Rebels coaching staff after taking a year off. Coach Leftin is a graduate of Highlands High School, the University of California (BS), and Xavier University (MBA). Jay has been involved in coaching basketball at various levels over a span of more than 30 years. In 2003, he joined Boone County's staff as a varsity assistant coach, and continues to provide excellent instruction for the Rebels. In 2013, Coach Leftin was inducted into the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. Coach Leftin has been married to his wife Portia for over 45 years. Jay and Portia have two sons, Jeff and Joe.
